Michael H. Levin: Poems and Prose
WHEN THE HARD RAIN FALLS
Nobody dry
no rest or ease
water spouts
from a dark green sky
no place tight
or safe or sure
when winds uproar
each casement hums
we drift unmoored
as the hard rain drums
on roofs and eaves.
